Capitalism Vs Socialism, pt 1

You tell me. Do you believe the things the older generations told us and are telling us, now....or, does EVERYONE have a paranoid older grandparents or parents that thinks technology is of the devil, tattoos are evil, and everyone is out to get them.

Now...since I know how you will answer that one, how much stock to you put in the "communism is evil" mantra coming from those who believe Donald Trump is righteous?

Over the last few decades, I have developed enough independence to start challenging "just the way it is" statements I accepted to be true without question...till the contradictions started shouting at me. If you review my blog, you will find 10 of them in a series called "culture not conspiracy" about glaring contradictions that refute the accepted norms.

I want to start a new 10 part series on Capitalism vs Socialism, because I think it is another area that the common beliefs need to be reflected and refuted.

For the first part of this series, let's deal with the assumption by the average Republican Conservative Christian that Capitalism is Christian and Socialism is evil. To begin, let's look at a few Bible verses..

James 1:27
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..."

Matt 14:15-16
"15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” 16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

Matt 25:40
""The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'"

What do you think? Was Jesus more interested in PROFIT or GIVING to help the poor? Indeed, what did Jesus say about the rich...

Matt 6:24
"You cannot serve God and money."

Luke 18:25
"For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

Luke 12:33
"Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys."

Hmm...that doesn't sound like Capitalism. That sounds like Jesus was saying the money of the RICH should go to caring for the poor....which...would be redistribution of income...which would be socialism. And, the church KNEW it..

Acts 4:32
"Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common."

Common...communion..commu...nism. Get it?

Any preacher that teaches a get rich message and has no poverty aid at their church are FALSE PROPHETS, because EVEN THEIR POLLUTED BIBLE disagrees with them. The Bible calls GREED a SIN...not a virtue.
